Empty Stalls

Title : Empty Stalls

A place that can be found in Chinatown. It's a street with tables and chairs in the middle of the road and food stalls at the side. This kind of food stalls should be around my grandmother's generation or even before it. This stalls are more old style than the now modern food courts. Though the stalls look old but if one would sit and enjoy the traditional way of life, it would feel more refreshing. But as people now are upgrading, so are the places where they eat. Food courts, now food courts are air-conditioned and cleaner. So people of these days would naturally go to have their meals taken care of at a food court.

I think Chinatown is the only place where I can see this kind of food stalls by the roads. Though people and their country developing is a good sign. But every once in a while, it's nice to slow down your footsteps and take a look around at the traditional stuff we still have left in Singapore. Maybe one day, you might not see it ever again ( maybe you can still see it in a museum ). Experience what happened in the past. Embrace the traditional stuff. So find one day, and visit this stalls and have a meal there soon. If not, the uncle in the drawing will be bored.

That's all.
